Petaling Jaya, 9 January 2026 – To herald the Year of the Horse, One World Hotel presented an exclusive Chinese New Year 2026 preview at its Zuan Yuan Chinese Restaurant. Themed “骏马迎春宴”, the curated showcase brought together approximately 80 members of the media and lifestyle influencers for an early tasting of the hotel’s refined festive dining experience.
The evening opened with welcoming remarks by Zuan Yuan’s F&B Manager, Mr Kenneth Chung. Chef Vincent Loo then took centre stage for an engaging culinary demonstration, sharing the inspiration and craftsmanship behind this year’s festive highlights, before guests came together for a lively prosperity Yee Sang toss that filled the room with laughter and well wishes.
Guests indulged in an exquisite selection of Chinese New Year specialties while exchanging warm greetings and enjoying lively conversations throughout the evening. The festive atmosphere was further elevated by a surprise appearance from the God of Fortune and the thrill of a lucky draw, creating joyful moments that truly captured the spirit of the Lunar New Year.
The highlight of the day was the Wealthy Set, a specially curated 11-course menu and the chef’s top recommendation. The feast began on an auspicious note with the Prosperity Salmon with Black Caviar and Soft-Shell Crab Rainbow Yee Sang, offering a vibrant and uplifting start. A selection of comforting favourites followed, including the Double-Boiled Abalone Soup with Free-Range Chicken and Cordyceps Flower and the Chef’s Signature Golden Fried Rice with Sakura Shrimp. The experience concluded on a sweet note with the chef’s specialty Golden Sesame Ball served with Sweet Potato Pandan Nian Gao, bringing the celebratory meal to a satisfying close.
Chef Vincent highlighted, “The Wealthy Set is my top recommendation. This 11-course menu brings together premium ingredients and sophisticated techniques that reflect both tradition and refinement. Highlights include our double-boiled abalone soup with free-range chicken and cordyceps flower, which is comforting yet luxurious, as well as the oven-roasted chicken served with chicken roulade - a duo-style dish that showcases different textures and flavours. For the main seafood dish, we selected Sabah red grouper for its delicate flesh and natural sweetness, making it perfect for festive dining and meaningful gatherings.”
